Dear Fellow Archers and Bow Hunters, With the full support of the Suffolk Archers board of directors, I am pleased to announce that a Bow Hunting Committee has been established. The Bow Hunting Committee’s (BHC) mission is to inform, educate, and help any member, new or old, get into the bow hunting aspect of the sport of archery. I have spoken with many club members at the range who shoot 3D, knock-a-block or field archery but don’t bow hunt. Some have no desire to hunt and we certainly respect their choice. We are here for them if and when they want to dip their toes in the bow hunting water. Some members really want to hunt, but are total newbies to the sport. Others have hunted for years, but not with the bow and arrow and are eager to learn how. This is where your Bow Hunting Committee comes into play. There are over 100 years of bow hunting experience on this committee, and we’re all here to help our fellow Suffolk Archers members learn more about bow hunting. If you are curious and want to know more, our motto is just ASK. If you need help, ASK. If you have a question, any question, ASK. No question is a dumb question. We were all new at this once. Don’t hesitate to contact your BHC with any and all questions you might have. Your BHC contains both old and new members. This is your committee: Jack Di Girolamo -- Chairman Members of the BHC are working hard on a few projects for this upcoming hunting season. We will keep you posted on what they are as well as our progress in the coming days and weeks. All bow hunters are welcome to be active in the BHC. We are currently forming sub committees, and your help and input will be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to contact me to learn more about how you can get involved. Be successful and safe this season and may your arrows fly true and hit their mark. Sincerely, Jack Di Girolamo |
