CHARITY 3D SHOOT – “GET IT DONE WITH ONE”
ALL PROCEEDS GOING TO ST. JUDES CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
This tournament is open to the public as well as to all members of
Suffolk Archers, and may be shot with traditional or compound bows.
This is a one-shot-per-target 3D tournament with regulated classes for all types of bows.
Registration and practice 8-9 am
Because this is for charity, members must also pay the entry fee.
 Members: $20 adult; $10 age 13-17; age 12 and younger FREE
Public: $20 adult; $10 age 13-17; age 12 and younger FREE

SNOW FLAKE LEAGUE 3D SHOOTS
This tournament is open to only members of Suffolk Archers, and may be shot with traditional or compound bows..
All scores will be tabulated after the February 28 SFL, so March 7 will be a fun shoot, BBQ and awards ceremony. If March 7 must be cancelled due to weather, the rain date is March 14. If any other days are washed out, no make-up day will be provided.
CANCELLATIONS WILL BE POSTED ON THE HOME PAGE OF THIS WEB SITE.
Check it before coming to the range.
8 to 9 am: Registration and breakfast
9 am to Noon:  Special  3D shoot

FIELD TOURNAMENTS
Field Archery Tournaments at are open to the public as well as to all
members of Suffolk Archers.

The 28-target Field Archery course is set up at regulation shooting
distances of 20 feet to 80 yards as sanctioned by the National Field
through the warmer months, but you can shoot for practice at any other
time. Normally one to four arrows are shot at each target. A standardized
scoring system is used at the tournaments and awards are given for
archers of varying abilities
.

14 Field, 14 Hunter and 14 Animals.

THE KNOCK-A-BLOCK STUMP SHOOT
This tournament is open to the public as well as to all members of
Suffolk Archers, and may be shot with traditional or compound bows.
Rain or Shine

• 8:00 am Registration & Practice Opens
• 9:00 am Promptly, Shoot Begins
• 3:30 pm (Approximately) Awards Presented
Shooting Fee
• Members: FREE
• Non-members: Over 18 ($20.00) • 13 to 17 ($5.00) • Under 13 (Free)
• TRADITIONAL BOWS with no sights, finger shooting only
• COMPOUND BOWS with sights and releases permitted (own division)
• Judo type points ARE REQUIRED FOR SAFETY with all bows. Other types of points
may disqualify you from the tournament! Check with officials before the shoot begins!
• NO SEPARATE CLASS for children or women.
• These are "match play" tournaments.
• Tournament is limited to 64 Archers
Although we have never had to turn anyone away, please be advised that we must not exceed 64 Archers. Registration will be on a "first come, first served" basis.

THE LONG ISLAND TRADITIONAL
This tournament is open to the public as well as to all members of
Suffolk Archers, but is limited to archers using only traditional equipment (recurves or long bows).

• 8:00 am Registration and Practice Opens
• 9:00 am Shoot Begins
• Compete for Awards or shoot for Fun with friends - Your Choice!
Shooting Fee
• Members -- Free in all classes
• Non-members: Adult ($20) • Youth ($5) • PeeWee (Free)
• Classes: Adult: 13 and older • Youth: 7 thru 12 • PeeWee: thru 6 years.
• TRADITIONAL BOWS ONLY
• No sights • No sight marks on bows • No stabilizers • No releases (triggers)
• No Compound bows
• Field points only
• Longbow Class: Laminated and self longbows, bush and flat bows.
• Strings to touch limbs ONLY at nocks in strung position. Wood arrows only.
• Recurve Class: All Recurves and any Traditional Bow that does not meet
• ALL longbow requirements will shoot in this classification. Non-wood
• arrows and "stick-on" arrow rests are acceptable.
• NO SEPARATE CLASS for women
• Youth Class: Under 13. All rules and bow classifications apply.
• Food and beverages will be available.

THE HUNTER STYLE 3D SHOOT

THE SILVER ARROW HUNTING STYLE 3D SHOOT

BOWHUNTERS' RENDEZVOUS (FREE TO ALL)
A free event for members and non-members, designed to help experienced hunters improve their skills and help new hunters learn the basic skills needed to be successful.
Run by the Suffolk Archers Bow    Hunting Committee, and taught by highly experienced bow hunters,  participants can select from a wide variety of hands-on field “classes”  covering such topics as tree stand selection and safety; tree stand placement; identifying animal gender and age; arrow placement; what to do (and not do) after a shot; blood trailing; field dressing and carcass care; transporting game; butchering; identifying “hot spots;” reading the wind; compass navigation; GPS navigation; DEC rules and regulations; qualifying for the unique Suffolk Archers Deer Management Committee (SADMC); finding places to hunt; and much more. 
On one side of the Suffolk Archers 20 Acre Archery Park you will walk from one interactive display to the next, learning how to develop or improve your hunting skills. Then you can shoot an exciting non-competitive Hunters’ 3D round on the other 10 acres.

Exhibits by local archery shops, taxidermists and more, under the roof of our 1,950 square-foot lodge. Many door prizes.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FREE! ALL ARCHERS, EVERY SKILL LEVEL, ALL BOWS.
RAIN OR SHINE JUST LIKE REAL HUNTING.

TURKEY SHOOT
This all-turkey 3D tournament is open to the public as well as to all members of

RACCOON SHOOT (DUSK INTO NIGHT)
This tournament is open to the public as well as to all members of
Suffolk Archers, and may be shot with traditional or compound bows.

MAXIMUM SAFETY IS ACHIEVED VIA EXTENSIVE USE OF
SUPPLIED MULTI-COLORED LIGHT STICKS AND LIGHT RINGS.
• Dusk:  Registration and Practice opens.
• Dark: Shoot begins.
TARGETS are life-size paper raccoons with reflective spots in their eyes. The targets are fastened to large target buts and will be placed at many different angles so the shooter must guess the position of the body based upon seeing only the reflective eyes.

RULES: Identifying light markers are supplied by Suffolk Archers FREE.
Everyone on the range MUST wear 2 light rings, 1 in front and 1 in back, of a unique color assigned at event.  2. Walk only on unique-color light-marked trails.  3. Shoot 2 arrows at each target from each unique-color 3-ring light-marked shooting point.  4. Shoot only at target butts marked by unique-color light rings.   5. Only 2-AA cell STANDARD ORIGINAL Mini MagLite flashlights or other brand with equivalent 5.3 lumens maximum allowed — nothing brighter.
 6. Only 1 flashlight beam directed towards target at any time.  A 2nd flash-light can be used to assist shooter with nocking arrow and to illuminate sight pins...work with a buddy.  7. Score ZERO for head shots within the red ring and for all shots outside the 5 ring.
